Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for Kids and Youth

Gain confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime

Our kids program is designed to meet young athletes where they are. We run three age-specific classes so every student trains with peers at a similar stage:

  • Kids: 4-6 years old

  • Kids: 7-12 years old

  • Teens: 12–15 years old

Classes run Monday through Friday plus Saturday mornings, with the option to train up to six times per week. We recommend training at least two classes per week to be able to learn the sport.

Whether your child is brand new to the mats or already obsessed, we have a class for them!

Why BJJ for Kids?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) offers numerous benefits for children aged 4 to 15, promoting both physical and mental development. This martial art emphasizes technique and leverage over strength, making it suitable for kids of all sizes and abilities. Through regular training, children gain a sense of discipline, improve their coordination, and build self-confidence. The supportive environment of BJJ classes helps them develop social skills and learn the importance of teamwork and respect for others.

In addition to these broad benefits, BJJ specifically helps children in the following ways:

  • Physical Fitness - Enhances strength, flexibility, and overall fitness.

  • Self-Defense - Teaches practical self-defense techniques that boost safety awareness.

  • Focus and Discipline - Improves attention span and instills a sense of discipline.

  • Problem-Solving Skills - Encourages strategic thinking and quick decision-making.

  • Emotional Resilience - Builds confidence and helps manage stress through controlled physical activity.
